The CDC said on Tuesday that 1,645 people nationwide were confirmed to have cyclosporiasis. Another 5,100 cases were under investigation. No deaths have been reported, and 141 patients have been admitted to hospital, the agency added. According to the CDC, more than 400 cases are linked in four Midwestern states: Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.
